The QR code was designed in the 1990’s by Densio, a Toyota subsidiary, in order to track automotive parts. At the time, the black and white design served the purpose. Now, the QR codes is seemingly everywhere and large companies, as well as individual creative types, are adding design elements to QR codes in order to make them a little more pleasing to the eye.  Click the link below to see CNN’s take on the trend and to view their top 23.
