Last week, the Museum of Arts and Design in New York kicked off a retrospective dedicated solely to VHS film and enlisted the help of Zilvinas Kempinas. Kempinas, a Lithuanian born New York based artist, has been working with VHS tape since 2006. His most notable piece, Tube, was created in 2009 and consists of a circular walkway of tightly threaded tape that produces eerie optical illusions.
