In honor of the successful landing of the Curiously Rover, here is the latest panoramic photo of Mars released by NASA July 2012. It was assembled from 817 images taken between Dec. 21, 2011, and May 8, 2012, while Opportunity was stationed on an outcrop informally named ‘Greeley Haven’. on a segment of the rim of ancient Endeavour Crater.

There is no clear evidence of life or water, but their is evidence that the rover is able to do donuts.

Thanks to Dan Pollick, Bob Rusnak and Jorge Torneria for today’s fodder.
