NicolasReusensHeaderEven after 24 years, are you still curious as to what the backyard must’ve looked like to the Szalinski family in ‘Honey, I Shrunk The Kids’? Nicolas Reusens’ magnificent macro photography makes it easy to imagine, by giving viewers a whole new perspective on the little things in life–especially insects.

Inspired by a love for nature and travel, Reusens creates these extreme close-ups using a technique called focus stacking. This technique involves taking multiple photographs with different shutter speeds to increase the depth of field. Each final composition is a combination of between 2 and 200 different exposures, creating this unique science-fiction look.NicolasReusens#1 NicolasReusens#2 NicolasReusens#4 NicolasReusens#5 NicolasReusens#6
